Power supply and circuit inspection

Measure the motor coil: Use the resistance range of a multimeter to touch the motor lead. The normal resistance value should be between 200 and 500Ω. If the resistance value is abnormal, it indicates that the coil may be burned out and needs to be replaced.

Check the motor temperature: After running for a period of time, touch the motor casing. If the temperature is too high and accompanied by an unpleasant smell, it indicates that the motor is overheated, and there may be problems such as a short circuit or overload in the coils.

Troubleshooting of capacitor Faults

Positioning starting capacitor: Most motors are equipped with black square cylindrical capacitors beside them. Before disassembling, short-circuit the two poles to discharge first to prevent electric shock.

Test the capacitance: Use a multimeter to measure the capacitance. If it is less than 70% of the nominal value, it needs to be replaced.

Inspection of the mechanical part

Check the fan blades: Inspect whether the fan blades are loose or deformed. Abnormal blades may also cause damage to the motor.

Inspect mechanical components: Disassemble the casing of the electric fan and check if there are any foreign objects stuck or worn inside the mechanical components. Remove foreign objects and lubricate mechanical parts to ensure their normal operation.

Maintenance operation

Replace the capacitor
